EB3 Visa Bulletin Update: October 2026

The U.S. Department of State released the October 2026 Visa Bulletin, and both EB3 visa categories retrogressed worldwide this month—on both the Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing charts. EB3 October visa bulletin updates.
The good news — filing stays open:
For October, USCIS has confirmed it will accept adjustment of status (Form I-485) filings using the more advanced Dates for Filing chart: August 1, 2024 for EB-3 (Skilled) and June 1, 2022 for EB3 (Other Workers). If your priority date falls before these dates, you can still move forward with filing even though final approval follows the Final Action Date.
Why did this happen? Retrogression isn't about any individual case — it reflects the State Department managing worldwide demand against fixed annual and quarterly visa limits. Dates move in both directions from month to month, and this is a normal part of the process.
